About MVP Robotics:

MVP’s mission is to improve human safety and performance through applied robotics in challenging environments. MVP Robotics is a small and lean start‐up company born out of Dartmouth College, based in Bradford, VT. MVP’s robotic tackling dummies have been eliminating practice injuries on the football field since 2015 at all levels, from the NFL to youth football. MVP has developed a robotic live‐fire shooting target that offers realistic, dynamic training for our armed forces. MVP Robotics continues to develop next‐generation training and operational tools to overcome the challenges of tomorrow.

Job Description:

MVP is seeking a motivated, organized, and skilled Software Engineer to design signal processing and environmental perception systems.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Research and select suitable sensors for obstacle detection and identification.
- Research and select suitable sensors for acoustic detection, classification, and position.
- Develop reliable obstacle detection algorithms that work with a wide variety of terrain and complex environments.
- Develop algorithms for sound classification.

Required Skills:

- Ability to write good C/C++ or Python code.
- Working experience with cameras, lidar, or other vision systems.
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning for computer vision.
- Experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, or other neural network frameworks.
- Experience with OpenCV and PCL for image and point cloud processing.
- Experience with 2D and 3D perception with real‐world robots.
- Experience with object detection and semantic segmentation with 2D images.
- (Preferred) Experience with real‐time object detection and semantic segmentation with 2D images.
- (Preferred) Experience with camera and lidar fusion.
- (Preferred) Experience with microphones and 1D signal processing.
- (Preferred) Experience with 1D data classification using machine

Qualifications:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ Years of experience in industry (internship/co‐ops considered).
- Effective Communicator.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
