BRADFORD, VT. – The U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command – Program Manager Training Systems (PM TRASYS) has awarded MVP Robotics, Inc. (“MVP”) a $226.4 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Trackless Mobile Infantry Targets (TMIT). Under the TMIT program, MVP will provide training and education services in support of dynamic live fire combat marksmanship training. The TMIT capability supports Training and Education Command (TECOM)’s mission to build and sustain the combat readiness required to fight and win today and in the future by providing the Fleet Marine Forces with a dynamic and realistic representation of human targets for use in live-fire training.
The TMIT program will augment the Marine Corps Training and Education continuum by introducing data-driven operational design, advanced live-fire movement and unprecedented realism to unit, collective, and service-level training. MVP will field their Humanoid Engageable Kinetic Training Robot (“HEKTR”) at training locations around the globe in fulfillment of TMIT requirements. This advanced technology will transform how Marines prepare for, train to and think on the complex modern battlefield. MVP will be supported by Corps Solutions LLC, an industry-leading Defense training and education services provider.
MVP's HEKTR TMITs are receiving a warm welcome from the warfighter base. CWO3 Matthew Hutcheson, Marine Corps System Command Gunner, states "MVPs HEKTR targets are a game changer for Marines. They provide users with a unique ability to quickly design their own training scenarios as well as provide high-fidelity shot placement for immediate feedback. This, without question, will make units more lethal."
“MVP is a mission-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the safety and performance of our nation’s warfighters, athletes, and service members through user-friendly technologies that excel in extreme environments. We are honored to expand our impact by supporting training for the next generation of Marines.” -Quinn Connell, MVP Co-Founder and CEO
